This document defines the current view of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (I&W) as to how 5G mobile technology could be put to good use in the Smart Mobility vertical to enhance the Ministry’s policy goals in The Netherlands. This view is also endorsed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, which collaborates intensely with I&W on this topic. Please note that when looking from a broader perspective, beyond the Smart Mobility context, the Dutch Government expects 5G connectivity to have a considerable impact on developments in the digital domain from 2020 onwards.
