The Palestinian Liberation Organization for the Benefit of the Palestinian Authority has received financing in the amount of Us$ 23.5 million equivalent from the World Bank. Toward the cost of the Phase 2 advancing sustainability in performance, infrastructure, and reliability of the energy sector in the West Bank and Gaza. It intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project is implemented by the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority (Penra). It aims to improve operational and financial performance of energy sector institutions and diversification of energy sources. The project will include the following components: Improving infrastructure for regional electricity interconnections in West Bank & Gaza. This component has the objective of improving the electricity infrastructure in Gazas Electricity. Supply network damaged during the recent conflict by building back better the conflict affected Mv Network.
